Built to the
drawing.
Fluid Main engineers made-to-order hydraulic cylinders, sealing systems and valve diagnostics for heavy industry across Southeast Asia. Every unit leaves with the drawing package it was made from.
Three things decide whether a
hydraulic circuit keeps running.
The actuator that does the work. The seal that holds the pressure in. And the ability to prove which of the two has actually failed. Fluid Main builds for all three.
Hydraulic cylinders
Engineered to order. Flanged and welded constructions, induction-hardened chrome rod, clevis and flange mountings, integrated counter-flow manifolds where the circuit calls for one.
See the build → 02Sealing systems
Rod, piston and wiper seals cut to the cylinder's own drawing — plus O-ring service assortments in NBR and FKM, metric and inch, so a maintenance team can close the job the same shift.
Kits & materials → 03ValveExpert Checker
A portable instrument that drives and reads a proportional or servo valve directly, with the machine controller out of the loop. Command, feedback, enable and supply on one display.
Specifications →Drawn, toleranced,
then machined.
A Fluid Main cylinder starts as an application, not a part number. Bore and rod are sized to the load and the duty cycle. The mounting is drawn to the machine it bolts into. Porting, cushioning and any integrated manifold are designed in at the model stage rather than adapted onto a standard body afterwards.
What gets released is a complete package: the assembly with its sections, and a separate dimensioned sheet for every machined component, each carrying its own material call-out and drawing number. That is what makes the cylinder inspectable on arrival, serviceable in the field, and re-makeable years later — by us, or by whoever holds the drawings.
| Bore diameter | Ø80 mm |
|---|---|
| Rod diameter | Ø45 mm |
| Stroke | 325 mm |
| Type | Double acting |

| Mounting | Rear clevis + intermediate flange |
| Drawing standard | ISO 2768-1, first angle |
Seven components, eight sheets.
Each part below is released on its own A3 sheet with sections, details, material and finish. Renders are taken straight from the model.
Most downtime is a seal,
not a casting.
A cylinder body outlives its seals many times over. Fluid Main supplies rod, piston and wiper seals cut to the cylinder's own groove dimensions, so a rebuild restores the original fit rather than approximating it with the nearest stock size.
Alongside that, we supply indexed O-ring assortments for the general work — the fitting that weeps, the manifold that needs re-making at two in the morning. Metric and inch series, NBR and FKM, 70 Shore throughout, in re-sealable compartment cases with the sizes marked on the lid.
| Series | Material | Piece counts |
|---|---|---|
| Metric | NBR | 382 · 386 · 404 · 407 · 419 |
| Metric | FKM | 382 · 407 · 419 |
| Inch | NBR | 382 · 407 · 419 |
All sets 70 Shore hardness · re-sealable compartment case · approx. 0.65 kg
Test the valve,
not the machine.
When a proportional or servo valve is suspect, the usual method is to eliminate everything around it first — controller, wiring, enable logic, supply — and hope the fault is still present when you get there.
The ValveExpert Checker removes that step. Sit it between the machine and the valve to watch the real command and feedback signals as the machine runs, or disconnect the machine entirely and drive the spool by hand from the internal supply. Command value, valve feedback, enable state and supply voltage are read on one OLED display, in a sealed case built to be carried onto a plant floor.
- Two modes. Internal manual control by knob, or pass-through monitoring of the machine's own signal.
- One display. Actual control value, valve feedback, supply and enable voltage, plus the active range and input type.
- Pilot & enable control. Dedicated buttons and status LEDs for enable state, pilot valve and input/output signal.
- Field-ready. IP64 unit, steel handles, and a foam-cut case with every cable it needs.

From application to handover.
Made-to-order only means something if the process behind it is repeatable. Four stages, and a documented output at the end of each.
Application review
Load, pressure, duty cycle, envelope, fluid, temperature and mounting interface — established before anything is modelled.
Design & release
3D model, then assembly and detail sheets to ISO 2768-1 in first-angle projection, with material and finish called out per component.
Manufacture
Machined to the released drawing. Rod material and surface treatment specified to duty — induction-hardened chrome where the service demands it.
Assembly & handover
Built, sealed and pressure tested, then handed over with the drawing package and revision record that produced it.
Typical applications.
Made-to-order suits the machines that were never standard to begin with — or that have long outlived the company which supplied them.
Metal forming & presses
High-cycle actuation where stroke, cushioning and mounting are dictated by an existing frame.
Mining & heavy equipment
Replacement cylinders for machines whose original spares route has closed, rebuilt from measurement to drawing.
Palm oil & CPO mills
Sterilizer doors, presses and tippers — hot, wet, continuous duty, with seal selection doing much of the work.
Marine & offshore
Deck machinery and hatch actuation, where material and surface treatment are specified against the environment.
Cement & bulk handling
Gates, diverters and tensioners in abrasive dust, where wiper and scraper choice determines rebuild interval.
General manufacturing
One-off and short-run actuation for purpose-built machinery, jigs and test rigs.
One partner per territory.
Fluid Main appoints a single distributor per market and supplies through them. Quotation, lead time, spares and after-sales all stay with a partner who is on the ground, holds stock, and can put an engineer in front of the machine.

We work in the space between the catalogue and the custom shop.
Fluid Main is a Singapore fluid power brand. The catalogue houses are excellent at what they do — until the machine in front of you was never standard, or the company that built it stopped answering the phone a decade ago. That is the work we take on.
Products are engineered for a named application, drawn properly, and released with documentation the customer keeps. They are sold through appointed distributors rather than anonymously, because a cylinder is a commitment that lasts longer than a transaction — and someone has to be there when it needs a seal kit in year seven.
The range is deliberately narrow: the actuator, the seal, and the instrument that tells you which one has failed.
Tell us about the application.
The more we know at the start — bore and stroke if you have them, load and pressure if you don't, plus the mounting and the environment — the faster a useful quotation comes back.

- A photograph of the existing cylinder and its nameplate, a sketch with the mounting centres, or an old drawing in any state — all three shorten the quotation considerably.
